Guwahati: Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh stated that the Meghalaya government will relocate hawkers and street vendors from Khyndailad streets in Shillong by November, enhancing the city’s infrastructure and amenities.

The government has vetted documents of over 200 hawkers who meet the Town Vending Committee’s parameters, in collaboration with the Shillong Municipal Board.

A meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar outlined the department’s Plan of Action through a PowerPoint presentation.
