Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) is not in a position to conduct the Improvement Exam in Class XII (HSSLC) for the in-service untrained teachers during the 2019-20 session.
MBOSE executive chairman MHK Marak infomred this in a letter on Monday (September 9) sent to the Under Secretary, State Education Department.

A copy of the letter was also forwarded to the Meghalaya SSA School Association, Central Body (MSSASA).
MSSASA, since a very long time, has been demanding to conduct the improvement Exams in class 12 (HSSLC) for in-service untrained teachers in the State.
“Preparatory work for conducting SSLC and HSSLC examinations for 2020 is already going on and it needs to be completed on time,” the MBOSE letter stated.

“Hence, MBOSE is not in a position to conduct the Improvement Examination in Class 12 (HSSLC) for in-service untrained teachers during the session 2019-20,” the letter added.
“Keeping in mind the interest of the teachers and under the direction of the state government the board can conduct the exam next session,” said Marak
MSSASA general secretary Ralbingland L Nonglait said that the association, since 2017, has been demanding the state government and the MBOSE for conducting the exam.
