Lyngdoh was travelling in his Bolero car, when it suddenly caught fire, resulting in his death.

Preliminary investigation suggest that either a short circuit or a fuel leak might have resulted in the fire, that ultimately claimed the professor’s life.

The incident took place along the Shillong-Tura road in Meghalaya on Saturday afternoon.
