NEHUTA alleges that Prof. Shukla’s “ill-motivated inaction” and negligence are severe, and he has failed to address critical issues raised by the university community.

The association criticizes the VC’s “evasive role” and his tendency to avoid addressing problems.

“His evasive role only points at his casual and faltering approach like an ostrich hiding his head under sand dunes,” NEHUTA president Lakhon Kma said.

They question his decision to remain out of station, ignoring public outcry over his failure to effectively manage NEHU.

NEHUTA also raises concerns about the qualifications and performance of the Registrar and Deputy Registrar.

They argue that the Registrar lacks experience in higher education, and the Deputy Registrar is unable to perform basic administrative tasks.

The association further alleges that the VC has displayed bias in the appointments of these officials, ignoring qualified candidates.

They fear that the presence of these individuals will negatively impact NEHU‘s academic standards and reputation.

NEHUTA has expressed support for NEHUSU’s demand for the removal of the Registrar and Deputy Registrar, emphasizing the need to uphold academic integrity and ensure the smooth functioning of the university.
