SHILLONG: The body of Ron Cooper Massar, a 54-year-old resident of Umroi Jaiawpdeng in Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya, was discovered floating in the Umiam River at Umroi Nongrah on Tuesday (May 21).

Massar had been reported missing since early Monday (May 20) morning when he left his home for a jog around 4:00 AM, according to local police.

While the exact cause of death remains unconfirmed, initial suspicions point to drowning.

The Meghalaya police have stated that an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
