University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Project Associate in Department of Applied Sciences, University of Science & Technology Meghalaya for the project entitled “Engineering Millet Microcapsules for Nanoencapsulation of Bioactive Compounds Extracted From a Medicinal Plant (Ashoka) of Meghalaya : A Therapy for Dysmenorrhea” sanctioned under Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India in 2024. The University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM) is the first State Private University of Science & Technology in the entire North East India—a University that has been awarded altogether the accreditation rating of “A Grade” in its first cycle of assessment by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in 2021. The University is also only a few years old and is sponsored by the ERD Foundation, Guwahati.

Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Food Science.
Desirable:
Candidates with experience in extraction of bioactive com-pounds, antibacterial studies, nanoparticle synthesis, encapsulation techniques, evidenced by publication in SCI Journal.
Salary : Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + 8% HRA
