St Anthony’s College Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology. St. Anthony’s College is an educational institution of the Catholic Church, belonging to and managed altogether by the Salesians of Don Bosco Educational Society (Registered under the society’s act of 1890: No: 227/91 of 199). It is affiliated to North Eastern Hill University. The College has also been reaccredited with “A” grade by NAAC in 2088 with CGPA of 3.60/4.0, making the college the highest graded in the East and North East of the Country. St. Anthony’s is also known as one among the top colleges of the country.

Essential Qualification :

  1. M.Sc. in Geology with at least 55% marks (General candidates) and 50% marks (SC/ST candidates) or an equivalent grade from any Indian University recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
  2. Candidates must also fulfill all other norms stipulated by the UGC required for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor in a college.

Desirable Criteria:

  1. Preferably specialization in Structural Geology.
  2. Publications in reputed journals.
  3. Research projects, collaborations etc.
  4. Knowledge in GIS.
  5. Good teaching experience.
