Bishnoi claimed that the FIR was baseless and fueled by personal vendetta, considering Iangrai faced disciplinary action during his tenure.

He added that the CID, independent of his authority, is already investigating the matter.

The FIR, filed on May 9, alleges Bishnoi misused his power by replacing the minivan’s registration plate with one meant for a sedan.

Iangrai further claimed the Rs 40 lakh vehicle exceeds the DGP’s allotted budget of Rs 12 lakh and questions missing documentation hindering proper registration.
