SHILLONG: Meghalaya deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong has urged the proscribed Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) to reengage in dialogue, emphasizing the state governmentโ€™s commitment to acting within legal boundaries.

Following the HNLCโ€™s claim of responsibility for the March 09 IED bomb blast and their ultimatum to relocate families from Harijan Colony in Shillong, Prestone Tynsong briefed the media, highlighting the Meghalaya governmentโ€™s prolonged consideration of the relocation issue.

โ€œWe are earnestly working towards a final resolution,โ€ the Meghalaya deputy chief minister affirmed, refraining from direct comment on the HNLCโ€™s statement.

Urging the outfit to pursue peace, Tynsong emphasized the Meghalaya governmentโ€™s preparedness to take legal action against unlawful activities.
