The Meghalaya Congress has raised issues concerning COVID19 situation in the state.
The opposition party of Meghalaya mainly raised the issues of isolation of patients from their families as well as segregation of Covid and non-Covid patients in hospitals and setting up of dedicated hospitals for Covid19 patients.

During a zoom meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), chaired by leader of Opposition and CLP leader, Dr Mukul Sangma, which was joined by a host of Congress MLAs, the legislators discussed at length the prevailing Covid19 situation in Meghalaya.
The meeting condoled the loss of many precious lives due to the Covid19 pandemic and also wished speedy recovery and good health to all the people, who have been affected by the virus.
The virtual meeting was held on Zoom.

Assessing the situation in every district, particularly in Shillong and its agglomeration, the Congress MLAs raised issues mainly the isolation of the patients from their families, preventive measures like vaccination, segregation of Covid and non-Covid patients in hospitals and setting up of dedicated hospitals for Covid patients.
The Congress MLAs also raised the matter of limited coverage of MHIS cards for Covid19 patients from the testing period till hospitalisation, delay in setting up of Prefab hospitals and many other pertinent issues.
The meeting decided to submit a representation in writing to the Meghalaya chief minister on all the issues raised during the meeting with a request to the government to immediately take necessary action.
The meeting also decided to meet once a week to assess and discuss the Covid situation in the state.
