Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday.

Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma during his meeting with PM Modi, invited him to the state’s 50th Statehood Day.

Meghalaya will celebrate its 50th statehood day on January 21 next year.

CM Sangma also apprised the Prime Minister about the developmental projects underway in Meghalaya.

The Meghalaya CM apprised PM Modi about the work underway for the new Assembly Building in Shillong.

CM Conrad Sangma was accompanied by Meghalaya Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh.

“Called on Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sh @narendramodi ji to specially invite him to #Meghalaya for our state’s 50th Statehood Day on 21st Jan 2022. Had the privilege to apprise him on the upcoming State Assembly building & sought GoI’s support for funding. Thank him for his support,” CM Conrad Sangma tweeted.
