Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma on Friday said that the blueprint for hosting the National Games in 2022 in the state is ready.

“The blueprint is ready and all proposals which include the construction of the main stadium have been sent to the Central government for the Union Cabinet to give its approval,” the CM said.

According to the Chief Minister, two proposals include the main stadium where the inaugural ceremony will be organized, and for holding the main games.

“We hope the union government will clear the particular proposal may be in the next sitting,” he said.

“A lot of work and planning has been done to make sure that the groundworks are completed and are in place,” he said.

“Construction cannot start according to our wish because planning is very crucial to ensure that hosting the game is successful,” Conrad Sangma added.

The chief minister also assured the people of the state that things are on track.
