The Tirot Sing Memorial Hospital in Mairang under the West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya has brought laurels to the state after being honoured with the Kayakalp Award 2021.

Tirot Sing Memorial Hospital, a district hospital, is located in the Sangshong locality and 45.6 km away from Shillong.

The hospital has received the award in the Civil Hospital category.

The award is given to the district hospitals, sub-divisional hospitals, community and primary health centres and wellness centres that adhere to the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma has congratulated the entire staff of the hospital for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the hospital.

“Tirot Sing Memorial Hospital in #Mairang receives the #KayakalpAward, 2021 in the Civil Hospital category. Big congratulations to the entire staff for their commitment to ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the Hospital,” chief minister Sangma tweeted.
