COVID19 positive

Meghalaya has registered one more COVID19 positive case on Monday, taking the state’s overall tally to 73.

Confirming the news, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma on in a tweet on Monday said the patient, who came from Assam, tested positive for COVID19 at Tura in West Garo Hills.

“One more person who came from Assam has tested positive for COVID19 in Tura,” chief minister Sangma tweeted.

With the new case, the total number of active COVID19 cases in Meghalaya stands at 29.

Earlier, a total of 43 COVID19 patients were discharged from the hospitals after they tested negative for the virus.

The deadly disease claimed Meghalaya’s first COVID19 positive patient.

“Total Active Cases 29. Total Recovered Cases 43,” chief minister Sangma said in the tweet.
