Meghalaya Police has handed over arrested ULFA deputy commander-in-chief Drishti Rajkhowa to the Assam Police.
Drishti Rajkhowa alias Manoj Rabha was cornered in Bolbogkre village in South Garo Hills with Meghalaya Police and its SF-10 commandos on Wednesday afternoon.

Following a 30-minute-long gun battle, the ULFA deputy commander-in-chief had surrendered realising that his chances of escape were dim.
Meghalaya Police on Thursday tweeted that Drishti Rajkhowa has been handed over to the Assam Police.

The ULFA deputy commander-in-chief is wanted in more than two-dozen cases of kidnapping and killings in Assam.
“He has been on the run after narrowly escaping an encounter with commandos of Meghalaya Police in Bolbokgre village, South Garo Hills on October 20,” the Meghalaya Police tweeted.
However, the Assam Police is yet to make any statement on taking over the custody of Drishti Rajkhowa from the Meghalaya Police.
According to reports, Drishti Rajkhowa surrendered along with four other ULFA (I) cadres.
Rajkhowa had been crisis-crossing the India-Bangladesh border, giving a slip to security forces on both sides for the last three months.
He was spotted around Jaflong in October when the Pakistan High Commissioner in Dhaka, Imran Siddique was apparently on a vacation in a resort in that area.
There are reports that Drishti Rajkhowa has been brought to Guwahati by a team of Assam Police personnel, and is being interrogated by the officials of the Special Branch.
The ULFA deputy commander-in-chief is likely to be produced before a court on Thursday, sources said.
