Moreover, the app based cab service launched in Shillong has various options offered for its consumers to make travel hassle-free and cost effective.

It has the facility of sharing a ride with other passengers.

It also offers the option of choosing the number of seats making the travel cost effective.

One can also book cabs with the app for outstation travels with the option of one way journey or round trip which again becomes cost effective.

Moreover, commuters can also book cabs through this app for sightseeing in and around Shillong in a hassle-free and cost effective manner.

The app based cab service has also quite a few incentives for the drivers.

The drivers are being offered requests from thousands of passengers any time.

Moreoever, Shillongcab does not ask any commission from the drivers for using the app.

The app is also giving the drivers to be their own boss.

The drivers can go online to accept a ride or go offline to get no request on their own free will.

However, a section of denizens in Shillong are skeptical of the new cab service introduced in the city.

They are of the view that the city is already saturated with vehicles, especially the ever-increasing fleet of the iconic black-yellow local taxis criss-crossing the narrow lanes.

Locals feel introduction of another taxi service would further aggravate the perennial problem of traffic snarls.
