More than 1600 IAS aspirants from across Meghalaya participated in the Mega IAS Scholarship Examination conducted by ALS in all district headquarters of Meghalaya on September 29.
The scholarship examination was conducted to select the top 100 IAS talents of Meghalaya, who will be fully sponsored for their IAS training at ALS Shillong and Tura centre under the Chief Minister Career Guidance and Counselling Scheme.
This path-breaking initiative taken by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K Sangma, will give an opportunity to the needy, deserving and talented IAS aspirants of Meghalaya, who are unable to afford quality education.
“The examination was supervised by respective Deputy Commissioner of each district along with nodal officers who were nominated by their respective DCs,” stated Prateek Bhattacharya, National Sales Head, ALS.
“Results of the examination will be declared on October 6 and training for the selected candidates will start from October 15 in Shillong and Tura,” Bhattacharya informed further.
The ALS thanked all the Deputy Commissioners and their respective nodal officers, who have worked day and night to get the scholarship examination executed and making it a grand success.
“ALS hopes to produce many more results in UPSC from Meghalaya in the coming years with this initiative taken by the Government,” stated Bhattacharya.
