Meghalaya kickboxer Hame Shaniah Suiam will represent India in the fourth International Turkish Open Kickboxing Tournament.
The tournament will be held from April 4 to April 7 next at Antalya, a city in Turkey.

The kickboxer will take part in the below 57 kg Point Fighting and Kick Light in men’s category.
The tournament includes events like K1 Rules, Low Kick, Full Contact, Light Contact, Point Fighting, Team Fights, Musical Form.
The total prize money of the tournament is over 30,000 Euros. It will be organized by the World Association of Kickboxing (WAKO)

Hailing from Shangpung in West Jaintia Hills, Suiam is a four times national gold medalist, according to reports.
Suiam had already taken part in various international tournaments like World Cadets and Junior Kickboxing Championship at Rimini, Italy in 2014 and World Senior Kickboxing Championship at Ireland Dublin in 2015.
He had also obtained a diploma certificate as international referee/ judge at the WAKO International Kickboxing Referee Seminar at Lonavala, Maharashtra.
Suiam who learned kickboxing from a very young age received first-degree black belt in the sport in 2013.
He has also been a certified national coach in the sports category under the supervision of National coach of Italy.
He had become an international name after working hard without any proper facilities and used to practice in the forest in his childhood.
