Guwahati: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has said Canadian singer-songwriter and musician Bryan Adams is all set to perform at the Polo Grounds in the state’s capital Shillong on December 10 this year.
In a social media post, CM Sangma said, “Hi friends. I just want to inform you that the legendary Bryan Adams will be coming to Shillong, the rock capital of India on the 10th of December at the JN Stadium.”

Chief Minister Sangma said the people of Meghalaya love music and Bryan Adam’s concert is another testament of that love for music.
“We all love music and this concert is another testament of that love for music,” the Chief Minister added in his post.
This will be the legendary singer’s first performance in Meghalaya. The Polo Grounds at the newly renovated JN Stadium can accommodate more than 30,000 people.

He has won 20 ‘Juno Awards’ and a ‘Grammy Award’ for best song written for visual media amongst 16 Grammy nominations and has been nominated for five ‘Golden Globe Awards’ and three ‘Academy Awards’ for his songwriting for films.
Bryan Adams has been inducted into the ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame,’ ‘Canada’s Walk of Fame,’ the ‘Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame,’ the ‘Canadian Music Hall of Fame’ and the ‘Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.’
