In response to the outbreak, the Manipur health department, in collaboration with other departments, has implemented several measures to contain the spread of dengue in the state.

These measures include fogging in areas where dengue cases have been reported and resource reduction efforts led by ASHA workers and Helpers under the supervision of the state malaria department.

Additionally, awareness programs are being conducted through various channels, including press releases, electronic media and social media campaigns.

“Stagnant water is a breeding spot for mosquitoes that spread dengue. It is crucial to regularly check and eliminate any sources of standing water in and around our residences,” the Manipur minister said.
