The re-poll at 12 polling stations of the Inner-Manipur Lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday ended peacefully.

State Joint Chief Electoral Officer Ramananda Nongmeikappam said 87.12 per cent of the total eligible voters of the 12 polling stations have exercised their franchise in today’s repoll.

Polling for the parliamentary constituency was held on Thursday last in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

The re-poll has been necessitated following complaints of electoral malpractices at the said polling stations.

The polling stations where re-poll is held are five in Heingang Assembly Constituency, one in Thongju, four in Keirao and two in Andro Assembly constituency, all in Imphal East district.
