Yet another incident of pre-poll violence has been reported from Manipur. 

A grenade explosion rocked Imphal – the capital city of Manipur on Wednesday evening. 

Residence of Loken Singh at Arapti locality of Imphal East became the target of miscreants. 

A hand grenade was lobbed at the residence of Loken Singh that exploded causing considerable damage to property. 

Fortunately, no causality or injury to anyone has been reported in the incident. 

Top police officials, including DGP P Doungel rushed to the spot.

Family members of Loken Singh, whose residence was targeted by miscreants, suspected that their house came under grenade attack as they refused to put on display a BJP flag in their house. 

Meanwhile, locals of the area took to the streets in protest against the violence that continues to rage on in Manipur ahead of the Assembly elections. 

Several incidents of pre-poll violence have already rocked Manipur in the past couple of weeks.
