Manipur is witnessing a sharp rise in daily COVID numbers ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.
On Wednesday, the election-bound state of Manipur recorded a total of 358 new COVID-19 cases.
The cases detected in the state is only 24 less than what was logged on Tuesday.
The new 358 cases in Manipur were detected at a staggering 14.7% positivity rate, a 0.7 percent jump.
Fortunately, no COVID fatality has been reported from the state in the last 24 hours.

The COVID-19 death toll in Manipur currently stands at 2015.
Imphal West registered the highest number of cases with 156, followed by Imphal East – 72, Thoubal 15, Bishnupur – 16, Kakching – 6, Kamjong – 3, Kangpokpi – 1, Noney – 1, Pherzawl – 1, Ukhrul – 1, Tamenglong – 8, Tengnoupal – 3, Senapati -2, Chandel – 10 and Churachandpur 40.
