IMPHAL: Indian Army’s Major M Pritam Singh, a native of Manipur, tragically lost his life while serving in the Siachen Sector, located in the eastern Karakoram range of the Himalayan mountains, on April 03.
The mortal remains of Major M Pritam Singh arrived at Imphal Airport in Manipur on April 05, where they were received by senior military officers.

In accordance with military traditions, all present paid their respects with floral tributes at the airport.
Subsequently, the body was taken to the officer’s residence in Luker, Imphal West district of Manipur.
The cremation ceremony, held with full military honours, took place at around 4 pm on Friday (April 05), in the presence of senior military officials, representatives of the civil administration, and family members.

Major M Pritam Singh passed away on April 03, while deployed in an operational area, succumbing to the challenges posed by the harsh climatic conditions.
Commissioned into the Indian Army on December 09, 2017, after completing his training at the Army Cadet College and the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Major Singh was known as an avid sportsman and was deeply respected and loved by all ranks within his battalion.
