IMPHAL: The senior assistant manager of the State Bank of India’s Bishnupur district branch in Manipur, who disappeared with Rs 2 crore and gold ornaments, was apprehended by the Delhi police’s crime branch in north Delhi.

Laishram Monarch Grace, 41, was tracked down based on intelligence suggesting his presence in the area.

He was arrested near the Maoris Nagar Police station at around 5:30 pm on Friday and is currently in custody.

Efforts to locate the stolen funds and gold are ongoing.

The bank branch manager from Manipur had reported Grace’s disappearance on April 03, prompting a search by the Manipur police.
