With the Covid-19 pandemic raging and no effective treatment available, people are now exploring alternatives like traditional herbs to prevent flu and the common cold during the winter.
“When we as kids had cold or fever, we used to consume Nongmangkha for its anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties,” said Elizabeth Yambem, founder of Dweller Teas.
“Just like the way my grandma gave me the boiled herb, many mothers are using this traditional herb to help their children fight the seasonal cough and cold,” she added.
The consumption of this herb has tremendously increased in the state following the pandemic.
Dweller Teas has also seen a spike in the demand for its ‘Nong-Mang-Kha Ginger Green Tea’ during the pandemic.
