The recovery rate of COVID-19 positive cases in Manipur has reached 60.20 per cent again on Wednesday after it was declined to 60.10 on Tuesday, according to official sources.
In the last 24 hours, 42 persons including 14 female from general population and 33 from Central Armed Police Force, were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases at Virus Research & Diagnosis Laboratories of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS-34), Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS-25), RIMS TruNat (1), Babina Diagnostics Centre (13), Raj Medicity (1), STDC/IRL(1) in last 24 hours, Dr Kh Sasheekumar Mangang, spokesperson of state Health department said in apress release on Wednesday.

They from Imphal West, Thoubal, Chandel, Churachandpur, Imphal East, Senapati and Bishnupur.
Three out of the general population are returnees from other states and the rest 39 are locals without any significant travel history, it said.

They are being shifted to the COVID care facilities.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.
In the past 24 hours, 48 persons were discharged from COVID care centres of Meitram, Thoubal, District hospitals of Thoubal, Ukhrul, Kamjong, and RD Wing after they were found COVID-19 free RT PCR test, it said.

“The cumulative number of positive cases is 3093.The numbers of active and recovered cases are 1224 and 1862 respectively,” the release added.
“The cumulative number of deaths is seven. The recovery rate is 60.20 per cent,” it added.
