Manipur health department on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government as well as private hospitals for implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) & Chief Minister- Gi Hakchelgi Tengbang (CMHT) in the state.
AB-PMJAY is a central government health scheme which provides a defined benefit cover of Rs. 5 lakh per family per year.
This scheme will take care of almost all secondary care and most of tertiary care procedures.
CMHT is a state health scheme which provides medical cover up to Rs 2 lakh per family per year for seven critical diseases and up to Rs 50,000 for primary and secondary ailments.
Health minister Langpoklakpam Jayentakumar Singh in a facebook post, on Monday said, “Today, we signed an MoU with 7 Public hospitals and 3 Private Hospitals for implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) & Chief Minister- Gi Hakchelgi Tengbang (CMHT) across Manipur.”
“The collaboration aims for an active participation of public and private hospitals to build a robust health care infrastructure in the state,” he said.
The hospitals, which have signed the MoU, are Maipakpi Maternity and Child Hospital, Sub-Hospital Sugnu, Community Health Centre (CHC) Kakching, CHC Sekmai, CHC Saikul, Moreh Hospital, Urban Health Centre Singjamei, Public Health Centre Maram, Imphal Heart Institute, and Samaritan Nursing Home.
