Manipur has reported two more Covid19 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 191, according to official sources.
In the last 24 hours, two persons, aged 47 years (a male from Imphal West) and 86 years (a male from Imphal West) expired at RIMShospital, said Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, additional director and spokesperson of the health department in a statement on Friday.
The first death due to Covid19 was reported in the state on July 29 while the first Covid19 positive case was detected on March 24.
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, 159 civilians (including 85 males and 74 females )and 7 Central Armed Police Forces personnel have been confirmed positive, the statement said.
The new Covid19 cases were confirmed at 23 testing facilities in the state.
The new cases from the general population are from ten districts, it added.
All are locals without any significant travel history.
On the other hand, a total of 342 persons were recovered from 19 Covid care facilities in the last 24 hours in the state, the release said.
The recovery rate is 80.90%.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 19,891 while the number of active cases is 3,608.
The total recovered cases as of November 6 is 16,092, it added.
So far 4,39,324 people were screened at various entry points into the state, while 3,66,212 individuals were tested for the disease, said officials.
