The Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) in Imphal has got a new Covid-19 intensive care unit (ICU) and an Accident Trauma Centre.
Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on Saturday inaugurated the newly instituted ICU and trauma centre.

The ICU is equipped with 100 beds along with advanced medical facilities to provide good treatment to Covid-19 patients.

The new Covid-19 ICU will go a long way in providing timely treatment to such patients and save more lives.

Meanwhile, a dedicated Covid Care Hospital is also coming up in Imphal.
The hospital is being set up with assistance from the Defence Research Development Organization.
The chief minister recently visited the site of the hospital to review the construction process.
