Imphal is all set to get a 200-bedded dedicated Covid hospital.
The hospital that is coming up at Kiyamgei in Imphal, is being funded by the Centre.
The hospital is being set up with assistance from the Defence Research and Development Organization
Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh said on Tuesday that the dedicated hospital will greatly help in the treatment of seriously ill Covid-19 patients.
The hospital will be equipped with the latest medical infrastructure and will have 150 general beds and 50 beds for patients requiring intensive care.
A total of 748 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Manipur in the past 24 hours.
The virus has claimed 12 more lives in the state, taking the total death toll to 908.
The total number of positive cases in the state is 56,578.
