IMPHAL: Manipur governor Anusuiya Uikey addressed the concerns raised by medical students from Churachandpur district, assuring them of assistance from her office to resolve the issues at hand.

According to a statement from Manipur Raj Bhawan, Y Ingochouba Singh, convenor of the parents’ guardians’ association of Churachandpur medical college (CMC) first batch, along with nine others, met with governor Uikey on Monday (May 06) at Raj Bhawan in Imphal.

During the meeting, they highlighted the challenges faced by second-year medical students at Churachandpur medical college in Manipur and urged for necessary actions to address these concerns.

The group emphasized the importance of providing facilities in line with the syllabus and guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC), as well as ensuring the conduct of practical and clinical classes adheres strictly to established norms.

Manipur governor Anusuiya Uikey spoke with state chief secretary Dr Vineet Joshi over the phone to discuss the students’ grievances.

She assured the students and their guardians of her commitment to supporting them and pledged to convene a joint meeting involving all relevant stakeholders to seek permanent solutions to the issues raised.
