L Nandakumar Singh, director of education (school), Manipur, issued the order, highlighting the widespread inconveniences caused by the floods to households and public installations.

The two-day closure, covering July 3 and 4, has been necessitated by continuous rainfall and the anticipation of ongoing flood-like conditions in Manipur.

All Zonal Education Officers and District Inspectors of Schools (Independent Charges) under the Department of Education-Schools, Manipur, have been instructed to inform all concerned parties within their jurisdictions and take necessary actions accordingly.
