The Manipur government on Wednesday handed an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs to the family Border Security Force (BSF) jawan Paotinsat Guite, who was martyred along the Line of Control (LOC) in Jammu and Kashmir in December last year.
Manipur chief minister handed over a cheque to the Guite’s family under the ‘Major Laishram Jyotin Singh Ex-Gratia Scheme’ in Imphal in Manipur.

Guite, a sub-inspector of the BSF, was deployed at FDL of BSF in Rajouri sector under the Poonch district.

He was killed during a ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the LOC in Poonch district.
