Teachers of the Lamka College in Churachandpur district of Manipur on Sunday donated their salaries for one day to the Chief Minister’s Covid Relief Fund.
The teachers handed over the money to Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh at his official residence in Imphal.

Expressing his gratitude, Singh said that the contribution of these college teaches will help greatly in the management of Covid-19 in the state.
Meanwhile, the chief minister has asked all medical personnel to take better care of Covid-19 patients while inaugurating a new Covid intensive care unit and accident trauma centre at the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) in Imphal on Saturday.
The pandemic has provided all medical personnel with an opportunity to display their expertise and they should utilize it to cure the ailing patients, he said.
