Imphal: The Manipur Cabinet has strongly condemned the recent spate of violence, including the killing of innocent civilians from both the Hmar and Meitei communities.
The Cabinet has resolved to recommend to the Central government that organizations responsible for these heinous crimes be declared unlawful.

The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, also decided to take stringent legal action against individuals involved in these acts of violence, along with their supporting organizations.
These decisions come in the wake of a series of attacks in the Jiribam district, where several innocent people have lost their lives.
The Cabinet expressed gratitude to the CRPF for their timely response to an attack by Kuki militants on the Borobekera police station, resulting in the killing of 11 militants.

However, the attack also led to the tragic deaths of six civilians, including women and children.
