The District Election Officer (DEO) of Bishnupur district of Manipur along with nodal officers and representatives of different political parties in the district has completed the first randomization process of electronic voting machines (EVM) and other equipment across the district for the coming Lok Sabha election, 2019.

The randomization was done at video conferencing studio of NIC, Bishnupur on Saturday, sources from district IPR office said.

Nodal officer T Shantikumar for computerization stated that the process of randomization is done after every voting equipment is physically inspected as well as their proper functioning is also verified by officials.

The DEO also has a meeting with the representatives of various political parties in relation to poll related expenditure. On the occasion, Kh Amarjit, nodal officer for expenditure monitoring educated the participants on the different poll related expenditure guidelines which will be enforced in the coming Lok Sabha election.
