Imphal: Following the directives issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Manipur government has ordered the transfer and posting of 33 police personnel (all Officers-in-Charge or OCs) across various police stations in the state.

The order, issued by Manipur’s Director General of Police, Rajiv Singh stated that the transfers are being implemented partially and in strict adherence to ECI guidelines.

It further stated that the reassignments of the 33 police inspectors, effective immediately, serve the public interest and supersede any previous directives.

The Manipur Police Training Centre (MPTC) and the respective Superintendents of Police/Commandants have been notified of the changes and are instructed to take necessary actions and report compliance promptly.
