Meghalaya Manipur: 20,34,660 voters in draft electoral rolls, 8037 increased

Imphal: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Pradeep Kumar Jha announced that Manipur has a total of 20,34,660 voters as per the draft electoral rolls.

The draft for all the 60 Assembly Constituencies of the state was released on October 29,  2024.

The number of voters has been increased by 8037 in the draft, he said.

In the final electoral rolls of 2024, a total of 20,26,623 votes were recorded.

The total number of polling stations remains unchanged at 2955.

Special Summary Revision 2025 has also commenced.

Claims and objections for enrolment in the electoral rolls, deletion, and correction of details may be submitted by November 28.

Recognized National and State political parties may obtain one copy of the draft electoral rolls free of cost.

After examining their applications, those who will be 18 years old on January 1, 2025, may have their names added to the final electoral rolls. The CEO added that all complaints will be disposed of on December 24, and the final electoral rolls will be published on January 6, 2025.
