Kawimaningsi from Nagaland has been crowned Orange Queen 2019.
The beauty pageant was held as part of the three-day 16th Orange Festival held in the headquarters of Tamenglong district, about 150 km west of Imphal, on Wednesday evening.

The state-level orange festival, concluded on Wednesday, was organized by the Tamenglong district administration to promote orange cultivation in the state particularly in Tamenglong district considering its nutritional values and peculiar juicy taste.
While 20-year-old Kawimaningsi won the title, 25-year-old Aluliu Daimei from Chingmeirong Kabuikhul in Imphal and 19-year-old Chun Ezar Pamei from Tamenglong were adjudged as first and second runners-up.
The beauty pageant was participated by 25 beauties belonging to different communities.

Chun Ezar Pamei also bagged the subtitle of Miss Photogenic.
Orange queen Kawimaningsi has also been declared Miss Ramp walk.
Kawimaningsi won a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh along with a citation while the first and second runners-up received cash prizes of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 75,000 respectively.
The winners of the sub-title holder beauties – Nivedita Kongbrailatpam (Miss Congeniality), Elizabeth J Hmat (Miss Vivacious), Pretty Inkah (Miss Talented), Dolina Thokchom (Miss Body beautiful), Riamei Chun Joycee (Miss Glamorous Look) were awarded cash prizes of Rs 20,000 each.
In the last Orange Queen contest 2018, Shelina Saikhom, a resident of Keishamthong Hiram Leirak in Imphal West district bagged the title while N Celena Chanu of Games village in Imphal and TK Darshini of Sangakpham in greater Imphal emerged as the first and second runners-up.
