An error by Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday took social media by a storm with Twitterati going berserk and leaving him embarrassed.

In a tweet wishing the people of Manipur on the occasion of 71st Republic Day on Sunday, the Manipur CM wrote ‘Tro-colour’ instead of ‘Tri-colour’ while greeting the people.

“On this joyous day, as we salute the National Tro-colour flag, let us resolve to work with a firm commitment towards a peaceful and prosperous Manipur and live up to the values enshrined in the Constitution,” he tweeted.

“I wish the people of Manipur and the nation a Happy Republic Day 2020,” he added.

The CM, however, was quick to realise the mistake and he deleted the tweet immediately and posted the correct tweet. But till then the damage was already done.

This was one of the rarest incidents in which the tech-savvy CM was seen committing such a ‘mistake’.
