Manipur on Sunday launched a website to address the grievances and help the citizens of the State who are stranded outside following the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown.
State chief minister N Biren Singh on Sunday launched the website at a simple function held at chief minister’s Secretariat in Imphal.
The website (www.tengbang.in) is developed by CubeTen in coordination with Information & Technology (IT) Department, Government of Manipur free of cost as their Corporate Social Responsibility activity.
MANIDCO chairman Dr Yumnam Radheshyam, Loktak Development Authority chairman L Susindro, additional chief secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar, director (IT) Nambam Deben, Haobam Joyremba of CubeTen and others were present during the function.
Speaking during the programme, chief minsiter Biren said the website is being launched with an aim to reach out to the Manipur’s citizens who are stranded outside the State and require help to overcome various hardships in such difficult times following the nationwide lockdown.
Maintaining that the website is integrated with a payment gateway so that people who wish to contribute to the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund can donate online, he said a mobile application of the website will also be available soon in Google play and Apple store.
Informing about the COVID-19 patient who is undergoing medical treatment at JNIMS hospital, the chief minister said the patient is improving and stable now.
He also urged the people of the State to pray for speedy recovery of the patient.
Earlier the State Government has appointed principal secretary P K Singh who is resident commissioner, Manipur Bhawan, New Delhi as the nodal officer to help and guide the stranded citizens of the State by contacting the concerned state governments.
