COVID-19 curfew in seven Manipur districts has been extended.
The ongoing COVID-19 curfew in seven Manipur districts has been extended till July 30.
Curfew had to be extended in seven districts of Manipur as the State continues to report high numbers of COVID-19 cases and related deaths daily.
The districts where the COVID-19 curfew has been extended by the Manipur Government are: Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kakching, Thoubal, Churachandpur and Ukhrul.

According to the new notification, issued by the Manipur Government, a few relaxations during the extended curfew period will be granted.
“… a careful approach along with mass vaccination is required to ensure that the pandemic is controlled,” the new notification read.
Vegetable vendors and grocery shops have been allowed to trade between 7am to 10am on July 1, 4, 7 and 10.
“Further opening-up will depend on the COVID scenario and the progress in vaccination,” the notification further read.
