The Covid-19 virus has claimed four more lives during the past 24 hours, taking the total death toll in Manipur 239.

While two of the deceased hailed from Chandel district, two were residents of Kangpokpi district.

A total of 81 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the state in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the state to 27,373.

The Manipur health department claimed that the number of recoveries has outnumbered the number of new detections, indicating a speedy recovery rate among the affected.

While 25,107 people have recovered from the infection in the state, the total number of active cases stands at 1937.
