A total of 80,166 persons, including health care and frontline workers, have been vaccinated in Manipur so far.

As many as 752 persons received the COVID-19 vaccine shots during the last 24 hours.

“Till date, the total number of health care workers vaccinated is 31,056,” Manipur health department said in a statement on Saturday.

Meanwhile, with two new recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total number of cured virus cases in Manipur has reached 28,931, officials said.

The State’s recovery rate currently stands at 98.63 per cent.

The cumulative number of COVID-19 positive cases has touched 29,332 in Manipur, while the number of active cases is 28. The virus death toll is 373.

Six new positive cases, including three belonging to the Central Armed Police Forces, were reported in the State during the last 24 hours, the statement added.

Manipur reported the first COVID-19 case on March 24 last year, while it recorded its first death due to the novel coronavirus on July 29, 2020.

The last death case was reported on February 7 this year.
