33 people have tested positive for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours in Manipur, taking the total positive to 27,976 in the state.
However, no death due to Covid-19 has been reported in the corresponding period.
While 26,331 people have recovered from the disease, the number of active cases in the state is 1,301.
The disease has so far claimed 344 lives in Manipur.
The Manipur government claimed that new daily cases are gradually decreasing in the state.

Meanwhile, the state government is exercising vigilance in view of a new mutant strain of Covid-19 emerging in the UK.
Many passengers who have returned to different parts of India from the UK recently have tested positive for Covid-19.
The samples of such UK returnees are being sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune to detect whether they have been infected by this new strain that is supposed to be 70 per cent more transmissible.
Different state governments are issuing new guidelines to ensure Covid-19 protocols are strictly followed.
The Union ministry of aviation has suspended all flights from the UK to India from December 22 to 31.
