Guwahati: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Spear Corps, Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, paid a two-day visit to the Red Shield Division in Manipur.

During his two-day stay on Tuesday and Wednesday, Lt Gen Pendharkar visited the Leimakhong Military Station, Yaingangpokpi, Imphal East district and Bishnupur district.

Lt Gen Pendharkar held discussions with the GOC of Red Shield Division, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR)-East, Deputy IGAR (South) and the  formation commanders.

Discussions were held on the challenges of the operating environment, and road map for assisting the state in bringing peace and stability.

The GOC complimented all ranks of the formation for the high standards of professionalism, commitment, high morale, and neutral and unbiased approach.
