The SDF had earlier decried the Hamro Sikkim Party for lack of leadership as the latter is yet to decide on its president.
Bahichung said instead of one ‘king’ in SDF, Hamro Sikkim Party has quite a few leaders who also have the capacity to become the Chief Minister of the State.
Bhaichung further asserted that his party has been formed to create future youth leaders and to give a direction to the State.
Hamro Sikkim Party has been formed not to ‘change a person or organization but to change the system’, is what the former ace footballer had said.
He said this on the sidelines of the inauguration of the party’s head office at Deorali in Gangtok.
The function was attended by other Hamro Sikkim Party vice presidents including Ran Bahadur Subba, Tirtha Sharma, Tara Shrestha, Dilip Rai, Indra Hang Limboo and other functionaries.
Sikkim National People’s Party (SNPP) president Biraj Adhikari and Sikkim Sangram Parishad (SSP) working president Rajendra Upreti were among the invitees present on the occasion.
Bhaichung further said that his party’s prime objective to build a new and progressive Sikkim for lasting peace and brotherhood.
