The self-styled chairman of Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO), Jibon Singh Koch on the occasion of celebration of silver jubilee of the banned rebel group vowed to launch an armed struggle for ‘national liberation’ to facilitate a people’s revolution to establish a free, democratic, sovereign and Independent  Kamatapur.

In a statement issued to the media on the occasion, the KLO leader said, “ That imperialist India is the main enemy of our national struggle. Independent Kamatapur shall comprise the entire Kamatapur in India.

Despite that the historical boundaries of  Kamatapur comprised three districts of present Nepal and undivided  Rongpur district, Dinajpur and Panchagar district in present Bangladesh.”

“That there will be no room for religious, communalism, racism and casteism in Kamatapur. That all the communities in Kamatapur namely Koch-Rajbongshi, Boro,M ech, Kochari, Rabha, Hajong, Garo, Teli, Mali, Jugi, Braman,Kolita,  Bhut, Lepsa, Gurkha, Santal (Adibhasi), Muslim and Bengali (those who  came before 1946), etc. shall be recognized as Kamatapuri nationals, and  therefore all of them shall take part in the national struggle.

“The KLO shall join in the common effort for regional cooperation  against India. The KLO shall extend support to all the struggles inside India that  recognized the national right of the Kamatapuri people, ” added the KLO chairman.
