Hailakandi Deputy Commissioner, Adil Khan, has congratulated Maria Tanim from Lala in Hailakandi who topped the ACS examination conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), the results of which were announced on late Friday evening.
In a statement, Deputy Commissioner Khan while extending his heartiest congratulations to Tanim, said she has made Hailakandi proud by emerging as a topper in the APSC civil service junior grade.
Khan also congratulated another girl from Lala, Jagriti Kaluwar from the tea tribe community to clear the civil service exam. Kaluwar, a student of Mount Peak English School, secured 89th position.
Khan wished both of them a bright and successful future.
Daughter of Kutub Uddin Barbhuiya, a former block development officer, Tanim cleared the civil service exam in her second attempt. She had graduated with B.Tech degree from Amity University, Noida.
Tanim has now set her eyes on the UPSC which she wants to crack in near future. She owes her success to the hard work she put in and the inspiration and motivation from her parents, relatives and friends.
